Olha só que lindo, acabei de descobrir que Charles Chaplin nasceu e cresceu a um quarteirão da minha casa:
In 1966, when this photograph was taken on London’s Old Kent Road, Charlie Chaplin had been a worldwide star for 36 years and a millionaire for the bulk of that. (…) Chaplin claimed that he never got used to luxury; nor, it seems, did he forget his roots. Born just off the Old Kent Road in 1889, on East Street, to an alcoholic father and a mentally unstable mother, Chaplin was seven when he and his elder half-brother Sydney were moved to a workhouse and then a home for destitute children called Central London District School.
